We Need To Talk About THAT Arya Scene On 'Game Of Thrones' This Week
There are still a lot of people freaking out about seeing Arya be sexual...for some reason that's more disturbing than seeing her straight-up murder people and WEAR THEIR FACES?!?!
Let's not forget, Robert Baratheon foreshadowed Gendry and Arya's union all the way back in Season 1.He was talking about Sansa and Joffrey's betrothal, but it works so much better for Arya and Gendry. Especially because Gendry is his actual son, unlike Joffrey. It's also worth noting that it's a nice full-circle moment, with Gendry and Arya symbolically rectifying things that went wrong in the past. Not just Sansa and Joffrey's failed union, but also Robert Baratheon and Lyanna Stark's. Arya is supposed to take after Lyanna, right down to her looks, while Gendry is said to look just like a young Robert. The two of them coming together brings a sense of closure to the previous generation's mistakes and failures.
