The fiber is adaptable to skin-safe temperatures and can be woven into wearable fabrics using existing textile manufacturing techniques. The final process involves dipping the fiber into oil to give it a slipper coating and then again giving it the full-blast UV light treatment to create a strong fiber. In a day, they can produce about a kilometer-long FibeRobo.They made a Bluetooth-controlled jacket for Forman’s dog as an experiment. The aim was to alleviate the separation anxiety that dogs feel when they are separated from their owners, so the jacket would ‘hug’ the dog based on a Bluetooth signal.
