PETALING JAYA: Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai (pic) are on the brink of creating history for Thailand at the All-England.

Last year’s World Championships silver medallists Dechapol-Sapsiree have beaten South Korea’s Seo Seung-jae-Chae Yu-jung 21-18,17-21,21-19 in the semi-finals on Saturday while Praveen-Melati ended the gallant run of Marcus Ellis-Lauren Smith of England 21-15,23-21,21-11. The mixed doubles competition had turned into an open affair following the shocking exits of China’s top two seeds Zheng Siwei-Huang Yaqiong and Wang Yilyu-Huang Dongping.
