Pasop, Passas! The ANC have been ridiculed for misspelling the name of uMngeni Municipality mayor Chris Pappas in posters used in their march.
Chris Pappas and dozens of social media users have mocked the ANC’s misspelled posters condemning the uMngeni Municipality Mayor – whom they named “Passas” – of corruption.
The 32-year-old – the DA’s candidate for KwaZulu-Natal premier – was accused of pumping public funds into a project facilitated by his ex-partner.ALSO READ:CHRIS PAPPAS ACCUSED OF NEPOTISM: ANC LEAD MARCH This includes a widespread clean-up project, creating jobs, and most impressively, paying off a R10.4 million loan in less than a year, making the municipality debt-free.’s office disclosed that it had received a complaint about alleged corruption.According to the complaint – led by ANC MPL Sizwe Mchune – Chris Pappas, via the uMngeni municipality, gave R100,000 to NGO uMngeni Tourism, which at the time was chaired by Pappas’ then fiancé, Jean-Pierre Prinsloo.
