“I played here a few days ago for the first time,” Papayoanou said afterwards. “I feel like it kind of suits me. The par fives are getable. I hit it far enough to reach them all.”

“I knew from the first hole I had a good chance,” he said. “I’d say after 13-14 – I made birdie-birdie – I was 3-under and probably winning by five at that point. I really didn’t look at the leaderboard. I just kept steady cruising.”“I didn’t get to play my freshman year because of COVID,” Papayoanou said. “Sophomore year I was close. Last year, I just didn’t play that well. I’m happy to be able to win one.

Lile finished fourth at 1-over , Zou was tied for fifth at 3-over , and Cox was tied for ninth at 7-over .
