While that Class of 2018 did special things, Wade saw similar characteristics in the Class of 2023 while they were competing in junior high. The Highlanders shared the District 13-6A championship with Grand Oaks and went on an eventful playoff run that included an epic sweep of nationally-ranked Cypress Ranch, a quality home win over Tomball, a grit-your-teeth five-set win over Waxahachie in the regional semifinals and a dominant display against Bridgeland for the regional championship.
