In the beginning the world was formed, and for a long time it was perfect in shape but lifeless. The world travelled through the void in that form, until great forces worked upon its pliable body. The priests speak of entities larger than universes, with teeth greater than worlds. They speak of a Masticating and whisper of the Great Chewer, who transformed the world and first seeded it with life.
Oh, those were bad times! The resources of our world depleted, and our religions once again turned to the belief in great monsters, larger than universes, who moved unseen above us and to which our world was but a morsel spat out and left in the void.Gradually, an equilibrium was reached. Our resources are fewer now with the passing of the Third Age, which we had termed the Age of Excess, but the Fourth Age proved to be a time of peace, a time of wisdom.
