BEIJING: A Chinese woman who defrauded more than 1.5 million yuan (US$210,000) underwent plastic surgery and fled to Thailand. She is currently under investigation by Thai police and may face back to the mainland.

Photographer Zulazhar Sheblee took first place in the Sarawak Environmental Media Awards photo category, while journalist Sharon Ling was second runner-up in the news report category.The awards, sponsored by Press Metal Sdn Bhd, were presented by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg at the Majma Event and Convention Centre on Wednesday .
