A Florida principal has resigned after a Renaissance school lesson showed pupils images of Michelangelo's sculpture 'David,' a storyline which was mocked in 'The Simpsons' over 30 years ago. The story is familiar to the Season 2 episode"Itchy & Scratchy & Marge" from 1990.
The school board's chair Barney Bishop reportedly told Carrasquilla that she could either quit or be fired but gave no reason for the ultimatum.
