It's become a badge of privilege for people to ‘invest in their health’ that I think can be just another form of death denial.

“It not only resulted in an enormous level of death and suffering, it also imposed various facets of loss on each of our lives,” she says, “From social interactions to access to coping mechanisms, changes in our identities and work situations and mental health states, we also lost the ability to easily celebrate and mourn together.”
