Rumours about the upcoming OPPO Reno 12 Pro have surfaced with a leak from a reliable source, Digital Chat Station. According to the leak, the phone is expected to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 “ Star Speed ” chipset, suggesting an increased clock speed compared to the standard Dimensity 9200.
In addition, the memory configuration can potentially reach up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In terms of cameras, the OPPO Reno 12 Pro is rumoured to sport a rear tri-camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor for telephoto shots with 2X optical zoom. The selfie camera is rumoured to be equipped with a Samsung JN5 50MP sensor.
Furthermore, other details mention important features such as a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging, plastic side frames, X-axis haptic motors and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. Also of interest is the leak of a network-free"Bluetooth calling function", although it has not been explicitly disclosed. This feature is expected to facilitate long-distance communication, pending official confirmation.
Additionally, the OPPO Reno 12 is said to feature a Dimensity 8250 chipset and a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution along with a camera setup similar to the Pro model. However, the statement from the digital chat station has been redacted as if it revealed this by accident.
