One of The Night Agent's biggest twists relates to the identity of the mole in the White House. Here's why the character was in on the scheme.
Peter and Rose's efforts in The Night Agent were repeatedly ruined by the interference of a mysterious mole in the White House. For much of the series, the character in question managed to keep the villains a few steps ahead of the protagonists. Their inability to get anything past the mole served as one of their greatest obstacles in the Netflix spy thriller.

Diane was Peter’s boss on The White House side of his job, and they are shown to be close, with Diane being the one who hired him for the Night Action program.
Peter had suspected Diane earlier when assassins were sent to the house Peter and Rose were staying in, since only Diane knew about it. However, she succeeded in fooling him by claiming staff had found spyware on her phone. This had given Diane more time to gain information from Peter and Rose, as well as place a tracker on their car. With Peter figuring out Diane was the mole, he was able to escape from the White House and send Diane, Wick, and Redfield’s plans into more chaos.
