In Disney’s company filings released on September 19, 2023, it was disclosed that $274.8 million were spent on The Marvels. Out of that, $55 million was subsidized by the UK government, where The Marvels was filmed. So, Disney’s total expenditure was $219.8 million .
The general calculation sees studios receiving half of a film’s box office taking, meaning that The Marvels will break even at $439.6 million.
