The Mandalorian is back to making forward progress with significant plot developments, and it's a big episode for Baby Yoda.

As it turns out, The Mandalorian was not just doing jobs to fix his ship and get by. I mean, he was, but in the larger context of the show he was forming relationships that culminate in The Reckoning, the title of today’s Chapter 7 episode. He’s called back to Navarro by his old Bounty Guild contact, Greef Karga, who says that he’ll pay him to kill the Imperial who is sending out all the bounty hunters after him and Baby Yoda as he’s now taken over the town and is making life difficult. Seems like a win-win except for the obvious fact that Greef can’t be trusted considering The Mandalorian shot him in the chest last time they met.
There are some incredibly significant Baby Yoda developments this episode. First, we actually see Baby Yodawhen she’s in a friendly arm wrestling match with Mando because he doesn’t understand they’re just playing.
But later, Baby Yoda redeems himself when he demonstrates a new power, Force healing. When Greef Karga is attacked by a wild flying thing, he not only heals his wound with a touch, but also purges his system from poison. I had to Google whether or not Force healing is already a thing as it’s not something I can remember seeing in the movies, and, so this isn’t technically a skill unique to Baby Yoda.
