If you wanted something sweet, My Mama’s Sweet Potato Pie Company had you covered."Yes, I remember that, and everybody, I mean, you know, it was a peaceful place, and yeah, it was the hangout spot. It would be crowded, and no trouble, and nobody was worried about it, I remember. It was like a nightclub, but you can also get food there and you can dance and just, you know, mingle with people.

So the instructor was like, it was an English class, just a language, and the professor was like, 'Ok. We just want you to write something - three, four, five pages - something on your hero, a famous hero of yours.' That was the assignment. OK, so my hero was Marcus Garvey. All right. So, what happens is, I go out to the regular bookstores down High Street. 'Hey, y'all got a book on Marcus Garvey?' 'Huh? Try over there.' I go over here.
