After audiences finally got their first glimpse at the two in the series, The Last of Us Ellie actor Bella Ramsey shares a sweet wrap letter she got from Pedro Pascal. The HBO show will see the two star as smuggler Joel and the young teenager he's tasked with transporting across post-apocalyptic America in the hopes of finding a cure to the Cordyceps brain infection.

Pedro wrote a little card to me at the end, saying, "How interesting that something so huge and life-changing should happen so early in your life and so late in mine." I thought it was a really sweet observation and I just had the best time.
Why Joel And Ellie's Relationship Will Be Crucial To HBO's The Last Of Us This isn't the first time Ramsey has shared her praise for Pascal while working on The Last of Us show, having previously shared how the Joel actor was "incredibly generous" on the set of the HBO production and made it a "fun place to be.
What will be interesting to see is how Ramsey and Pascal's charming off-camera dynamic carries over into their development of Joel and Ellie's relationship in The Last of Us. Of the many elements needed to get right for the show adaptation, the dynamic between the two that essentially develops into a father-daughter relationship was one of the biggest emotional pulls for the game's story, and therefore the show's as well.
