Hair loss is a huge problem for South Africans. But many people have little knowledge of the interventions that can be taken if they're struggling with it.

You may not have heard too much about trichology - the science of the structure, function and diseases of human hair.

In a clinical sense, trichology is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases of the scalp and hair - and there is little knowledge of the interventions that can be taken with those struggling with hair loss in South Africa. Skinstitute founder Dr Kgomotso Ntau tells News24:"Unfortunately, a lot of people only have basic skill or knowledge of it.
