That's a problem. While you want to celebrate the success, you also have to understand that women represent over 50% of the world. There's so much work to be done.
So what companies can do to really help is to be very intentional. It means thinking critically about how you're assessing talent and not just laying off whole departments based on support functions or based on"last hired, first fired." It's about considering emerging talent and your top talent. We provide them with data around what's happening, information on what's keeping women overall from ascending, but also more specifically what's happening with Black women and Hispanic women because women are not a monolith.
You are absolutely right. The landscape has shifted where we do understand that it's important that women make progress overall, but we've also challenged our companies to peel those layers back and to not only look at women, but go deeper and look at women of color.
