MG’s electric Cyberster is on the way and appears very promising. But could we ever get it here?

The interior was visually loud too, offering up yoke steering, a bridge-style center console, and a widescreen digital gauge cluster."The Cyberster is a bold statement that looks strongly into MG's future, touching on our heritage but more importantly building on our technology and advanced design," Carl Gotham, director of SAIC Design Advanced London, said at the time.
Quite a lot appears to have been lost in the translation from concept to production car, and perhaps for good reason. After all, the concept featured a spoiler lip not quite meant for real world roads, in addition to other not so practical elements, including wheels wrapped in rubber bands with very little room to spare in the wheel wells.
The MG Cyberster will receive an official reveal in the coming days, ahead of the start of sales in Europe and China.An overall length of 178.5 inches makes the production Cyberster comparable to a compact sedan like the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, but the battery will still exact a weight penalty, with the lightest version weighing in at just under 4100 pounds.
When it comes to performance, the base rear-wheel-drive version is expected to serve up 309 hp, while the dual-motor variant will dial that up to 536 hp.
