The Curse, which will debut at the New York Film Festival this fall, will follow newlyweds — Whitney and Asher Siegel — as they deal with an alleged “curse” that appears to be interfering with their relationship.
Described as “a genre-bending scripted comedy,” the upcoming series will explore the couples’ attempts to conceive a child while also co-starring on their troubled HGTV show Flipanthropy.In addition to starring as the main lead in the show, Fielder also served as The Curse’s creator and writer, along with Safdie, who will be starring in the series as the HGTV producer. Joining the main trio are Corbin Bernsen , Barkhad Abdi , and Constance Shulman .
