“The Crown” Just Cast Emma Corwin As Princess Diana
Tuesday that newcomer Emma Corrin will be playing Lady Diana Spencer — who would go on to become Princess Diana following her marriage to Prince Charles — in Season 4 of"Emma is a brilliant talent who immediately captivated us when she came in for the part of Diana Spencer," show creator Peter Morgan said in a statement.
Corrin will be acting alongside recent Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, who will be taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth from Claire Foy for the show's third and fourth seasons. Gillian Anderson and Helena Bonham Carter will also be joining as British prime minister Margaret Thatcher and Princess Margaret, respectively.will return in 2019, but did not specify the exact date.Keira Knightley's name was misspelled in an earlier version of this post.
