TheBoys social media is celebrating StarWarsDay by trolling fans over the release of a new season 3 trailer.
The Boys social media account trolls fans over a full season 3 trailer while celebrating the release of the new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer. The hit Amazon series is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's graphic novels in which a team of vigilantes take the fight to superheroes around the world who elect to use their powers for more corrupt means.
Karl Urban leads the cast of The Boys as team leader Billy Butcher alongside Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford and Jessie T. Usher. The series has received rave reviews in its first two seasons for its dark sense of humor, satire of superhero culture, character development, performances and hard-hitting action.
Anticipation has been high for The Boys season 3 since season 2's jaw-dropping conclusion in which it was revealed that Congresswoman Victoria Neuman is the mysterious assassin blowing up various heads throughout the season and has hired Hughie as an assistant on her campaign. After a near year-and-a-half gap, Amazon finally released the first glimpse at The Boys season 3 this past March, which teased the arrival of Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy and plenty more gruesome action.
The Boys social media's latest trolling of fans over a season 3 trailer isn't the first time the marketing team for the series have used the accounts for fun. The group memorably jumped on the bandwagon calling for the release of Thor: Love and Thunder's long-awaited first trailer a month before Marvel finally dropped it in April, as well as trolling fans with a faux season 3 synopsis this past month.
