This year's show let the two famous (and grumpy) Muppets rip Geoff and it was awesome
During tonight’s Game Awards, a lot of big games were announced and a long list of awards were handed out. And that was all fine. There were even some really exciting surprises that I liked. But the best part of the show by far was whenever Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets showed up to heckle host Geoff Keighley and mock the whole affair.
Here is their first appearance early on in the show: After noticing some empty seats in the theater they had this to say to Geoff: “We heard you always sell out!” When talking about how the Game Awards is turning 10 years old, they joked about Geoff hosting it, saying: “How long is this bozo gonna go on? Well that’s what I’ve been asking for 10 years!” During another appearance, the two of them begged for all the commercials to stop and asked someone to help them.
