As Pilot Pete's season nears its Final Rose ceremony, it was time once again to give the mic back to the eliminated ladies ofBut after about an hour and a half of contestants talking over each other and rehashing"champagne-gate," the night took a turn when Chris Harrison welcomed past Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay up to the stage.
One contestant, Alexa Caves, then spoke up about receiving hateful messages about sporting her natural hair on the show."A lot of the comments that I got right away off the show was about my hair and my choice of being natural," Caves said."Also, I had so much love come in, and it meant so much to get messages from people saying that it's important to have representation."
Another contestant, Tammy Ly, added that she was afraid to pick up her phone or check her work email because she'd received so many death threats."I was getting death threats sent to my work email saying that, 'Hey, I want to buy a house,' but it's actually a paragraph of how I should go kill myself," Ly said.
And when Harrison asked the girls who in the group had received online hate, every single one raised their hand."I know it's uncomfortable for you to see," Lindsay said."Just imagine how uncomfortable it is to get this in your comments and your DMs every day, every week, every month. And you guys, that's just a tip of the iceberg."
