Sky News host Chris Kenny has defended ABC journalist Leigh Sales after she sent out an email telling journalists “how to reject” the claim the Uluru Statement was 26 pages long. Mr Kenny said it is “simply wrong' to say there is a secret longer Uluru Statement. “The ABC is right this time … I don’t know why Sales has to tell them all, but it is simply wrong to say the Uluru Statement is more than one page long and they should point that out. “Sure, refer to the other documents, talk about how they mention reparations and the rest of it – but do not pretend they are part of the actual statement or that governments have secretly signed up to them – that’s just wrong. “Don’t censor people either who say so, don’t ban their stuff on Facebook – just point out the facts, thrash it out in public debate.” Mr Kenny added that the ABC seems to 'carefully choose' when to point out the facts on issues.
