Opinion: The 28th Amendment is Newsom’s latest hollow political stunt
Gun violence is a real and serious problem which raises real and serious questions.
There are several distinct and overlapping factors which feed into the gun violence problem. Ease of access to guns is one, but there are also complicated problems like mental health and perennial problems like gang violence and domestic violence. Taken together with his claim this amendment would “end America’s gun violence crisis,” it’s a bit underwhelming, actually.
