Covid-19 updates from Thailand.
Cumulative cases in the country since January 1, 2022 are at 2,219,213.
The country’s total caseload from Covid-19 stands at 4,442,648 – 4,367,939 of whom have recovered, 44,737 are still in hospitals and 29,972 have died. Separately, another 28,861 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, 75,355 their second shot and 141,221 a booster, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered nationwide to 137,522,168.
According to Worldometer, confirmed cases globally had risen to 531.39 million on Sunday, 502.06 million of whom have recovered, 23.01 million are active cases and 6.31 million have died. Thailand ranks 24th in the global list of most cases, which is topped by the US with 85.71 million, followed by India with 43.15 million, Brazil with 30.97 million, France with 29.46 million and Germany with 26.28 million. - The Nation Thailand/ANN
