Worawan came to Kota Kinabalu after hearing about what Kota Kinabalu has to offer from a Daily Express staff member a few months back.
“We have had a lot of Thai Food Fair in Kuala Lumpur, which I would say is successful; the sales are higher than we expected, and I would like to have the same in Kota Kinabalu,” Royal Thai Embassy Officer of Commercial Affairs Minister Counsellor Worawan Wanwil said during a courtesy visit to the Daily Express on Wednesday. “We are looking into the potential of hosting a Thai Food Fair here, something we have not done in over 15 years,” he said.
Thus, the purpose of my trip this time is to assess the prospects in both states,” he said.He also expressed his plans to bring a group of Thai businesses to Kota Kinabalu to see if they can participate in the fair next year. In addition to promoting Thai cuisines and delicacies, he is considering marketing Thai tourism in Sabah by hosting a Thai Exhibition that will include Thai cultural displays, dance, and Thai kickboxing.
