Thailand semalam mengesahkan1 kes baru Covid-19, menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kepada 42.
Jawatankuasa Penyakit Berjangkit Kebangsaan mengesahkan perkara itu dengan memasukkan COVID-19 kepada senarai 13 lagi penyakit berjangkit berbahaya. Timbalan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Kesihatan Awam Anutin Charnvirakul berkata, pengumuman itu akan memberi kuasa kepada pihak berkuasa kesihatan bertindak dengan lebih cepat dan berkesan untuk mengekang penularan tersebut.
Beliau berkata, tindakan itu akan membolehkan pihak berkuasa kesihatan dan pegawai terbabit mengeluarkan arahan menahan dan mengkuarantin mereka yang disyaki pesakit Covid-19 menjalani rawatan dan memberikan kuasa kepada gabenor dengan persetujuan jawatankuasa untuk menutup sementara venue yang terjejas oleh virus tersebut.
