Asia's most comprehensive food and beverage trade exhibition, THAIFEX Anuga Asia, returned to Bangkok from May 26 to 30 at Impact Muang Thong Thani under the theme "Bigger, Better, Bolder". Hosted by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse (KM), the event attracted food buyers, importers, and industry professionals from over 130 countries. DITP Director-General Sunanta Kangyalkulkjj highlighted shifting global trade dynamics, rising production costs, and the growing importance of quality, safety, ESG principles, and traceability in international trade. The exhibition serves as a strategic platform for Thai entrepreneurs to drive export growth and create business opportunities while reinforcing its position as a leading international food trade platform.

The event from May 26 to 30 at Impact Muang Thong Thani attracted food buyers, importers and industry professionals from more than 130 countries worldwide, strengthening its position as a leading international food trade platform. Sunanta highlighted that organisers were expected to welcome more than 90,000 trade visitors from over 130 countries, with projected trade orders exceeding THB 130 billion.

“The strength of THAIFEX Anuga Aisia lies in its role as a comprehensive food and beverage trade platform that brings together products, innovations, and buyers from around the world in one location. “It creates opportunities for business negotiations, networking, and long-term partnerships, while reinforcing Thailand’s position as a strategic food trade hub for Asia and the global market,” she said.

This year’s exhibition will be the largest in its history, with expanded exhibition space extending to IMPACT Forum Hall 4, bringing the total exhibition area to 140,000 square metres to accommodate a broader range of products and innovations across nine key sectors – Drinks, Fine Food, Food Technology, Frozen Food, Fruits & Vegetables, Meat, Rice, Seafood, and Sweets & Confectionery. The exhibition will also showcase products and innovations spanning consumer goods, halal food, organic products, health and wellness foods, specialised nutrition, future food solutions, and sustainable food innovations.

One of the industry-focused highlights was the Thai fruit showcase under the concept “THAILAND: The Land of Tropical Fruits,” which presented innovative ways of enjoying Thai fruits in both fresh and processed forms to meet the preferences of modern consumers. The showcase also featured winners of the Agri-Export Star Pitching Challenge, presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun, highlighting Thailand’s excellence in agricultural product quality, innovation, and value-added product development.
