Jenab Jaman, 100, was seen with her husband Salleh Dahlan, 88, at the SK Rambah Rambah polling centre, here.

Salleh said that he and his wife have voted since the country's first general election on July 27, 1955, and have never failed to exercise their rights since."She always gets very excited to vote every time, and can't wait to leave the house early. She will repeatedly ask me when we are going to the polling centre," he said when met at their house in Parit Menthol, Rambah here, today."She only talks when I am at her side.

When asked how she felt about voting, Jenab, whose has a hearing problem, said she was happy to have fulfilled her responsibility.A total of 27 polling stations and 125 channels were opened for the election at 8am today. The by-election is a six-cornered contest between Karmaine Sardini , Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng , Wendy Subramaniam , Datuk Dr Badhrulhisham Abdul Aziz and two independents – Dr Ang Chuan Lock and Faridah Aryani Abd Ghaffar.
