AUSTIN — Bijan Robinson spent Thursday afternoon on campus, sitting courtside for a Sweet Sixteen volleyball matchup between top-seeded Texas and Marquette at Gregory Gym.
A few hours later, Robinson scored an exceptional win of his own when the PxC SMU Athletic Forum announced the junior Longhorn running back as the recipient of the 2022 Doak Walker Award during ESPN’s awards show. “Being considered for the Doak Walker Award is something every running back dreams of,” Robinson said. “I'm so fortunate that every time I walk into our football building, I get to see the trophy that Ricky, Cedric and D'Onta earned during their time here. It's something that motivates you and inspires you to be great.”
