The lawyer for Negros Oriental Third District Rep.
Arnolfo Teves Jr. claimed on Friday that he has yet to see the search warrants for the raids conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group operatives on several houses of the embattled lawmaker.Ferdinand Topacio said until now he has no clue as to the real purpose of the raids.'It should be clearly stated in the search warrant what the purpose of the raid to be conducted as stated by the law, and what particular object is being searched,' he said.
'Topacio further claimed that when the raiding team arrived all the people inside the houses were ordered to leave the premises and were not allowed to enter.However, he said the raid did not come as a surprise as they had received 'intel' months ago that Teves' houses would be raided by the police.Topacio said they are still trying to get in touch with Teves, who is currently in the United States.
