Tesla to open some U.S. Superchargers to all EVs.
charging connector. The CCS connector is the standard across most U.S. public charging networks, but Tesla’s Superchargers currently utilize a proprietary connector. This means if you were to pull up to a Supercharger station in an F-150 Lightning on a flat battery, you’d simply be out of luck. This won’t be the case moving forward, as Tesla will move to open some 7500 of its chargers by the end of 2024.
