Tesla has finally arrived in Malaysia and the Tesla Model Y is a major disruptor for our local EV scene. Here's everything you need to know including the EV and charging network in Malaysia.
The default Pearl White colour option is free and if you want to change to other colours it will cost you RM5,000 for Solid Black, Midnight Silver Metallic and Deep Blue. If you want your Tesla to come in Red, that will cost you RM10,000.
Other extra upgradable options include upgrading from 19″ Gemini to 20″ Induction wheels for RM10,000 and you can opt to change the seats from Black to White for RM5,000. The Performance variant gets 21″ wheels as standard. For the upgraded “auto-pilot” tech, the Enhanced Auto Pilot costsAt the moment, all fully imported EVs in Malaysia enjoy full exemptions for import and excise duties until the end of 2025. Road tax for EVs is also waived until the end of 2025.
These chargers with a maximum output of 250kW are capable of delivering up to 270km of range with a quick 15 minute charge on the cable. If you’re in a rush, the chargers can push 120km of range in just 5 minutes.located in the Klang Valley, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and Johor. Besides Pavilion, Tesla announced that they are also partnering with other property developers including Gamuda, Sunway Group and Quill.
