"Standard operating procedures include blatant, open and unmitigated race discrimination," the lawsuit alleges, according to the report.The lawsuit is the latest of several brought against the company in the last year. A California regulatory agency filed a discrimination lawsuit against the electric vehicle company in February. Tesla attempted to head off the suit, preemptively releasing a blog post denying the claims before the suit was filed.
Last week, several former employees sued Tesla over layoffs the company has been conducting. Employees alleged the company violated labor laws when it failed to warn them layoffs were coming.It was recently reported that Tesla would be pausing hiring and would cut nearly 10% of its workforce amid economic uncertainty in the marketplace. Earlier this week, the company reportedly laid off nearly 200 workers in its Autopilot offices in California.
