Terengganu JPJ Issues 1,968 Summons During CNY Special Ops

The Terengganu Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued 1,968 summonses during the eight-day 2025 Chinese New Year (CNY) Special Operation (Ops). Inspections were conducted on 19,597 vehicles, resulting in 1,833 notices for non-compliance with regulations. Common offenses included running red lights, riding without helmets, lane violations, and not wearing seat belts. 37 vehicles were also sealed.

The Terengganu Road Transport Department issued a total of 1,968 summons during the eight-day 2025 Chinese New Year Special Operation which started last Jan 20.

He said 1,833 notices were also issued against motorists for non-compliance with regulations set under the special operation. Meanwhile, Zamri said 16 JPJ enforcement officers have been assigned to carry out undercover duties to supervise drivers and monitor the movement of express buses during the CNY Special Ops.
