Terengganu FC (TFC) secured a 2-0 victory over Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) in a Liga Super match at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Despite fatigue from their participation in the Southeast Asian Club Championship, TFC players showcased resilience and tactical prowess.

Katanya, para pemain kurang mengasak ke kubu NSFC pada separuh masa pertama dan permulaan babak kedua tetapi bertahan dengan baik sepanjang tempoh tersebut untuk mengutip tiga mata penuh. “Pujian patut diberi kepada penjaga gol kami, Syed Muhammad Nasrulhaq Syed Bidin yang menyelamatkan beberapa percubaan pemain tuan rumah,” katanya kepada para pemberita selepas tamat perlawanan tersebut.
Pada minit ke-79, TFC dihadiahkan sepakan penalti selepas semakan menggunakan video bantuan pengadil mendapati bola terkena tangan pemain pertahanan NSFC ketika asakan dalam kotak penalti.
