KUANTAN: Tengku Ampuan Pahang , Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah expressed her gratitude for 143 babies born involving 120 couples through in-vitro fertilization ( IVF ) treatment since 2005. Her Royal Highness, yesterday, once again marked a historic moment for 65 couples from across the country who also received offers for free IVF treatment under the program. “What Allah has bestowed upon me, I want to give back to those who are in a similar situation as I was once.

I hope all this treatment is successful and pray that the desire of parents to have offspring is fulfilled,” she said at the ceremony to celebrate the couples participating in the IVF program organized by the Tunku Azizah Fertility Foundation (TAFF), here, yesterday. Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah, as the Founder and Lifetime Chairman of TAFF, personally handed over IVF offer letters to 65 couples selected to undergo the treatment. Meanwhile, a couple who lost their eight-month-old child after being allegedly abused by a caregiver at a childcare center in Melaka last year, were touched when offered to join the IVF program for free by TAFF. Sabrina Hakiem Zaini, 40, along with her husband, Major Ir. Ts. Mohd. Fikry Amri Abd. Halim, 40, expressed their gratitude for the second chance to have a child. “Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT has given me the opportunity to experience the joy of being a mother, pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. “It is a gift that not everyone can have, and I cherish it even more after talking to other couples who have been waiting for years for the opportunity through TAFF,” she said. Sabrina, who works as a teacher, said the offer opened the way for them to undergo IVF treatment after the tragedy that befell their late son, Muhammad Al-Fateh Amri on September 6, 2024. “I am very grateful because after the incident, Your Highness continued to give us the opportunity to undergo IVF treatment. We hope this treatment will be successful and once again be given the blessing to have a child,” she added.
