A teenage girl who stabbed her stepsister in a house in Flat Taman Teluk Indah, Prai, was remanded for three days to aid investigations. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Nurul Ainna Ahmad to allow police to investigate the case under Section 324 of the Penal Code. The suspect, who is no longer in school, arrived at the Bukit Mertajam courthouse escorted by police officers around 9:10 am. She was also found positive for methamphetamine. Yesterday, media reported a woman injured, suspected of being stabbed by her stepsister, in an incident at Flat Jalan Perai Jaya, Perai, around 11:30 am. Seberang Perai Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris, said initial investigations revealed that the suspect had been living with the 35-year-old victim for the past four days due to family problems.
