Prosecutors showed video of the shooting to the judge and told him the 15-year-old was a danger to the community, according to WFAA. Defense attorneys called several witnesses who said the boy has been a model citizen while in custody. His probation officer, Bob Lewis, said he’s doing well in detention, WFAA reported.A trial is tentatively set for August in juvenile court, WFAA reported.of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Federal authorities arrested John Edward Porter on March 23 and said he possessed a revolver, pistol and rifle despite having two felony convictions in Louisiana.

In a criminal complaint for Porter, authorities wrote that Arlington police seized a Mossberg model 500 12-gauge shotgun near the high school. The shotgun had a cartridge in the chamber that “visually appeared to be the same” as a cartridge recovered at the scene of the shooting.
