A 17-year-old is accused of bringing a loaded gun, with an “attached machine conversion device,” onto school property at Fairmont Heights High School on Wednesday morning, Prince George’s County police said in a news release.The teen, a junior at the school located in the Landover area, was taken into custody, according to police.
According to an initial investigation, a witness told administrators the teen “may possess illegal drugs.” The loaded gun and drugs were found during a search of the student, police said in the release.Share this articlePrince George’s County Public Schools is in the process of implementing weapons detectors in every high school and some middle schools as an additional security measure.
