A 15-year-old boy tragically passed away after witnessing a fight between customers and a foreign worker at his family's coffee shop in Malaysia. The incident left him visibly distressed, and he later collapsed and died despite being rushed to the hospital.

A 15-year-old boy tragically died after witnessing a physical altercation between customers and a foreign worker at his family's coffee shop in Taiping, Perak on Monday night (January 13th). The incident unfolded around 11 pm when three patrons – two men and a woman – were enjoying their meal at the establishment. According to eyewitness accounts, tensions escalated when one of the male customers requested tissue paper from the foreign worker who had served them tea.

A disagreement over the cost of the tissue paper allegedly led one of the men to slap the foreign worker, who retaliated. The shop owner, Chen Jin Ming, immediately stepped in to quell the situation, with the assistance of other customers who helped remove the aggressive patron from the premises. Witnesses reported that Chen Jian Liang, the owner's son, was present during the altercation and appeared deeply distressed, clutching a chair defensively. After the confrontation subsided and the shop returned to a semblance of normalcy, the teenager suddenly collapsed while walking outside. Concerned bystanders quickly seated him and attempted to revive him, but he remained unresponsive. Despite being swiftly transported to the hospital for emergency treatment, medical staff were unable to save the young boy.Jian Liang's body has been returned to his family home, with funeral arrangements scheduled for Thursday at 11 am. Known for his hard work and helpful nature at the family's coffee shop, his untimely death has profoundly affected both his family and loyal customers. Taiping police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Nasir Ismail confirmed that there were no criminal elements found in Chen's death, and authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause. He added that police are currently investigating the earlier altercation at the coffee shop to establish a complete understanding of the sequence of events.
