During the search, officers found and seized three firearms and a variety of suspected illegal drugs with a street value of $15,000.Published:GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — The Glynn County Police Department arrested two people in connection to drug and gang activity on Tuesday.
GCPD Major Crimes Unit, along with SWAT, the Special Investigations Unit, Patrol, and K-9 executed a search and arrest warrant for Jamia-Yah Robinson, 17, and Jocelyn Thomas, 37, in the Glynn Marsh area of Glynn County. During the search, officers found and seized three firearms and a variety of suspected illegal drugs with a street value of $15,000.Investigators found 295 pills that appeared to be prescription or over-the-counter medication. Field testing of the pills found they contained Fentanyl and MDMA, according to a news release.
The pills were disguised as medications like antibiotics, allergy medication and over-the-counter pain relievers.Credit: Glynn County Police DepartmentThomas, 37, is facing five charges. That includes trafficking Fentanyl, Cocaine, MDMA, Possession with intent Methamphetamine, and Possesion of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Crime.All substances will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for positive drug identification, according to the release.
