The Malaysian Water Services Commission (SPAN) chairman, Charles Santiago, announced that technology will be a core component of the National Water Transformation Plan 2040 (AIR 2040). The launch of AIR 2040 by the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry is seen as a strategic initiative to transform Malaysia's water sector towards sustainability and resilience.
