“At the beginning they come in and they don’t really know how to do school and by the end of the year, they are reading and they can sit and listen to a story,” said Tina Benson, Teacher of the Week.Benson’s co-teacher nominated her as Teacher of the Week. “The old saying is you can’t teach an old dog new tricks and she has taught me so many I have learned just being with her the last couple years,” said Peggy Shorter, teacher.
