Taylor Swift fans are stepping up in support of fellow Swiftie Jacob Lewis. The 20-year-old left Taylor's Eras Tour concert in Houston with his sister, April Bancroft, early Sunday morning when their red Buick LaCrosse broke down. According to, Jacob was struck and ultimately killed by Alan Bryant Hayes, who is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Many Swifties made a special donation of $13, a nod to Taylor's lucky number, and left lyrics from Taylor's songs as comments on the fundraiser., Hayes fled the scene after the accident. "Well, he stopped and got out and helped my daughter pull my son, pull Jacob from under his driver-side tire and only after that did he get back in his car and drive off and leave," Jacob's father told the outlet. A heroic tow truck driver followed Hayes after he fled.
