Nationals Leader David Littleproud says cashless debit cards can help with the regional crime crisis as they take money “out of the hands” of violent people.
“It is a privilege to get Australian taxpayers’ money, it is not a right,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“With that comes mutual responsibility, mutual responsibility that you are a good citizen and that you live up to your responsibilities as a parent in making sure that your children are going to school and they are fed and watered everyday with three square meals. “The government has taken this away because it stripped away dignity, well sorry, what about the dignity of those children?”
