“Does Tucker Carlson want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?”
Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., challenged Fox News host Tucker Carlson to “walk a mile in her legs” after Carlson suggested Duckworth, who lost her legs fighting in the Iraq War, hated America, with the charged comments coming amid reports that Duckworth is a contender to be Joe Biden’s running mate this November.
“You’re not supposed to criticize Tammy Duckworth in any way because she once served in the military,” Carlson said, adding, “When Duckworth does speak in public, you’re reminded what a deeply silly and unimpressive person she is.” Despite an admitted reluctance to question Duckworth’s patriotism, Carlson said, “the conclusion can’t be avoided. These people [Democrats] actually hate America.”
