PETALING JAYA: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan's statement that PAS 'wants to kill' Umno is absurd, says Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

PETALING JAYA: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan's statement that PAS"wants to kill" Umno is absurd, says Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

Takiyuddin said that as a party that puts Islam as its principle, PAS is always determined and acted to approach Umno to unite Muslims and Malays in this country. "In that regard, PAS will continue to be open and ready to hold meetings, discussions and negotiations with any party by focusing on points of commonality and bridging differences for the good of the country and people," he said.

Mohamad had explained earlier that Umno was working with DAP in the unity government because DAP was not pretentious, and they do not fake friendships.
